David Bednall appears as recitalist and composer in London concert

The composer, organist and pianist David Bednall played the third concert in the Grand Organ Inauguration Festival at Our Lady of Victories, London, in a joint concert with Timothy Macklin.

Dr Bednall, who is Choral Director at Clifton Cathedral, was educated at Oxford, where he was organ scholar at the Queen's College, and at Bristol University, where he gained a doctorate in composition.

His programme was: Incantation pour un Jour Saint: Jean Langlais, Mariales: Naji Hakim, Toccata on All For Jesus: Malcolm Archer, Meditation on Pange lingua: Richard Jeffrey-Gray, Fanfare-Postlude on Hyfrydol: David Bednall, Chorale Prelude on Solothurn: Sarah MacDonald, Celebration: Cecilia McDowell.
